Comparison- High End to Drug Store

I noticed that the colors in both of these pallettes were very close in color, so i compared them side by side and realized they were more alike than i first thought.
Although my lighting isn't very good in these pictures (i took them at night) you can see the obvious similarities.
Here are the swatches from both pallettes, the top layer being the Urban Decay, and the bottom being the E.L.F.
The colors are almost identical and for the most part the same pay off. Although some of the E.L.F colors aren't as pigmented, you can build them up.
I think it's a great buy considering the big price difference, the E.L.F was only $5.00 and the Urban Decay was $48.

"Carried Away"

I have to start off by saying that I have never tried any of the Bath & Body Works body butters before, this is my first one so I'm not an expert with them lol.
I absolutely LOVE the scent & want to get the body spray from this collection.
I'm not good with describing scents, but, on the back of the tub it has a description (yes I'm cheating) so I'll tell you what it OFFICIALLY smells like ;)
"A whimsical blend of lush raspberries, white jasmine, and whipped vanilla"
Yep, that sounds about right lol
And it also says "Inspired by the way love sweeps you off your feet"
It swept me off my feet :)
I can't say enough how addicting this fragrance is! The "body butter" really does melt right into your skin, the scent stays a very long time (I haven't actually timed lotion lol) but when I put it on at night I still smell it on my skin the next morning.
It leaves my hands, especially, feeling really soft and hydrated because I use those to spread it over my arms and legs so they get the most of it, my arms and legs feel softer and hudrated as well.
I got mine at my local Bath & Body Works, BUT I saw on amazon.com they sell them for $2.00 less than what you'll pay in store :)

Fresh Face Makeup :)

I did this very natural "fresh face" look with a coral lip.
On my eyes I used: Urban Decay- Primer Potion, NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk, all over the lid & in the crease I used the Hard Candy- High Maintenance duo, Wet n Wild Brulee to blend out the crease color, and NYX eyeshadow in white ad a highlight color under my brow bone, Mascara: ULTA Amped Lashes.
On my cheeks I used: NYC Sunny bronzer to contour, MAC Hang Loose blush, & a Femme Cutoure cheek highlighter.
On my lips I used: green EOS lip balm, Rimmel lipstick in Nostalgia, & L.A. Colors lipgloss in a bubble gum pink color.

I LOVE THE CCO!!

I have been to the CCO in Gulfport, Mississippi twice now, and i absolutely love it! I live in Louisiana and the drive to the nearest CCO for me is a little over 2 hours away. I only get to go every so often just because of how far it is but every time I go the minimum I spend is $100. LOL. I love the fact that they have some of the discontinued items from different brands in there for a little less expensive price from when they first came out. I've only gotten MAC so far, but I told my husband the next time I go I'll try the Bobbi Brown makeup.
I wish they would bring a CCO to the Tanger Outlet Mall close to where I live (Gonzales, Louisiana), but that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon LOL. So until then (if it ever happens) I'll continue driving the 2 hours twice a year :)

My Favorite Foundation!!

To be honest, I've only tried a few foundations, but I have to say this one is my favorite! The Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse is amazing! I don't have acne prone skin (I don't think lol) but I do have pretty dry skin. I can't say I have skin problems like acne scarring in which I need to cover up, but I do have slight redness around the nose & a little uneven skin tone. This foundation applies so easily, it feels as soft as cashmere when it's on your face. I guess you could call it light to medium coverage, but I feel like it could be buildable. I use my fingers to apply it onto my face, then use a kabuki brush to buff it out. I don't feel any heaviness at all when I wear it, which is a huge plus! Overall I love this stuff :) Two thumbs way up :)

Hunger Games Trilogy Review

This series of books have got to be (by far) the most entertaining AND DIFFERENT books I've ever read. They are literally page turners! They should come with a warning: Will no be able to put down to work, sleep, eat, or participate in daily activities (lol). I'm not going to spoil it for those of you who haven't read them yet, but I will say they are well worth the read. The book is about a girl named Katniss and her family & friends, and their adventure into the hunger games. It's a VERY different kind of book than what I've ever read. I truly think the writer *Suzanne Collins* is amazing for coming up with this story. When you think about these crazy amazing books you wonder how could someone be so brilliant, how could their mind imagine such amazing things, apparently it comes natural to her. 20 out of 10 stars for these books. I LOVED THEM!!!

Urban Decay Primer Potion Dupe

Since Urban Decay's Primer Potion is more on the "expensive" side, I found a perfect dupe for it : Femme Cutoure - Eye Primer. You can find the Femme Cutoure makeup brand at your local Sally's Beauty Supply. I've used this eye primer for about a year now and have no bad things to say about it. It has never creased on me, it's the same consistency as the UD, & a whole lot cheaper! I got mine for $7.99 at my local Sally's.
